School Office Manager, £35k-£45k - Do you have extensive managerial and school administration experience? If so, this School Office Manager role will certainly pique your interest!
We are extremely excited to be working with a superb partner school in Hammersmith, who are looking to interview suitable candidates immediately to fill the role of School Office Manager.
School Office Manager summary:
  • School Office Manager salary is £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
  • As School Office Manager, the main purpose of the role is to lead and co-ordinate all administrative functions to assist in the smooth running of the school. As part of your duties, you are expected to work in conjunction with the Headteacher/Senior Leadership Team and members of the central Trust Exec Team.
  • The School Office Manager will also provide a general support service (including PA services) to the Headteacher and wider Leadership Team, undertaking specific operational tasks and projects on their behalf, maintaining personal diaries, operational rotas, the academy calendar and providing logistical support for activities and events.
  • Take a lead role in the organisation and monitoring of support systems/procedures/ policies.
  • Work directly with Headteacher, providing day to day PA services for them and working on developments within the key areas of your portfolio.
  • Undertake line management responsibilities where appropriate including, management of administrative staff, liaising between managers/teaching staff and support staff.
  • Hold regular team meetings and 1:1s with managed staff and undertake recruitment/induction/appraisal/training/ mentoring for own team.
  • First-rate IT skills and experience with SIMS (School Information Management System).
The candidate must demonstrate a flexible approach in the delivery of work and, above all, have a positive nature, be hard-working and possess a good sense of humour – all necessary for working in schools!
School Office Manager requirements:
  • Degree level qualification.
  • Experience of managing a team and working collaboratively.
  • Excellent ICT skills including Microsoft office (word, publisher, excel) and use of SIMs.
  • Experience of working effectively in school administration and organisation.
  • Willingness to be flexible around working hours to meet the needs of the school.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS.
