Service Care Solutions are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Organisation Officer on behalf of Walsall Council.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating pupil projection databases while preparing forecasts of mainstream and special school pupil numbers.
Your responsibilities will include liaising with various teams, compiling reports, supporting school expansion projects, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
This role demands meticulous attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Location: Conducting visits to schools within Walsall Borough and working onsite at Civic Centre, Walsall Town Centre.
Hybrid/WFH also available.

Durationofassignment: 6 - 12 months

Workinghours: 37 hours per week, Mon - Thurs 8.45am - 5.15pm, Fri - 8.45am - 4.45pm

Pay: £13.02 per hour

Role Specific Duties and Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain databases to support the planning of school places for all Walsall mainstream schools.


• Assist in preparing forecasts of mainstream and special school pupil numbers based on various data sources.


• Monitor progress of School Organisation projects to ensure successful delivery within agreed parameters.


• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements.


• Provide assurance to the School Organisation Manager regarding school expansions and pupil place planning.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel around the borough


• Experience in data management, forecasting, or educational planning.


• Understanding of statutory requirements and regulations related to School Organisation.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Proficiency in database management and Microsoft Office suite.


• Commitment to continuous learning and development.
