Pastoral Lead required for Special Needs School in Hailsham About the job You will be responsible for helping to run an area of the school where children can come and seek emotional support, and have a place to regulate themselves. Within this area, there will be several Inclusion Assistants to support you. Your overall responsibility is to support the personal social and academic development of students and promote their well-being within their specified Key Stage, as well as implementing the school's behaviour policy. About the school The school is a large Social, Emotional and Mental Health Primary and Secondary provision. About you Experience working with children who have Social, Emotional, Mental Health Understanding of Pastoral Intervention and Therapeutic Approach This role will suit someone who has a well-developed understanding of strategies to manage and support young people, some with challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be able to remain calm and think clearly. The role involves leading and working alongside a team to deliver the best outcomes for our young people.
