Do you have a strong passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school setting?
The Supply Room is currently seeking a dedicated SEND Support Worker to join our team on a flexible, ad-hoc basis to work with children in a specialist school environment. We are looking for individuals who are not only resilient and engaging but also have a deep understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of working with children with SEND.
As a SEND Support Worker in a school setting, you will play a crucial role in providing one-on-one support to children with a range of needs. This will involve collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create and implement individualised support plans that promote the academic and personal development of each child.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and a willingness to go the extra mile are essential qualities for success in this role. We are specifically looking for candidates who have experience or knowledge of SEND, or who are willing to undergo training to enhance their skills in this area.
In addition to having 3 A-levels or equivalent qualifications and the right to work in the UK, we are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to creating inclusive and supportive environments for children with SEND.
If you are ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with SEND and have the passion and skills required for this rewarding role, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a detailed cover letter outlining your experience and why you believe you would be a great fit for this position.
The Supply Room is an equal opportunities employer that is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ which includes obtaining 2 references and as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, a satisfactory enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (full guidance provided).
