About the Role:

Step into the dynamic educational environment of Stroud Secondary School, where an exciting opportunity awaits a motivated Science graduate. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of a Cover Supervisor in Science. This full-time position, scheduled from Monday to Friday, kicks off post-February half term 2024, providing an excellent entry point for those aspiring to embark on a career in teaching.

As a Science Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include facilitating engaging classroom activities, assessing student progress, and delivering constructive feedback. This role is not limited to Early Career Teachers (ECT) - any science enthusiast committed to cultivating a supportive and stimulating learning environment is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Classroom Support and Order:

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Implement classroom rules and procedures to ensure discipline and focus.

Communication and Professionalism:

• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Stay updated on professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

This full-time position extends until the conclusion of the academic year, with part-time considerations for the right candidate. Competitive remuneration, ranging from £110 to 130, will be offered based on experience and expertise.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum education requirements of A-levels
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in effective classroom management to foster a positive learning environment.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
