Reed Education is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher for an immediate start in a long-term role at a secondary school in Lancaster. The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of the Science curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day to Day of the Role:
Teach Science to KS3 and KS4 students; experience with KS5 would be beneficial.
Plan and deliver compelling Science lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
Assess student understanding and progress, providing feedback to support their learning journey.
Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Serve as a role model, exemplifying qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good listening skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and contribute to the wider school community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Recent relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4; KS5 is advantageous.
Strong classroom management skills and in-depth subject knowledge.
A reliable and committed individual with a passion for Science education.
Excellent interpersonal skills, punctuality, and the ability to work confidently with children.
