Connex Education is currently seeking a qualified Science Teacher to fill an immediate, full-time opening at a secondary school in Sunderland. This position involves teaching science to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status, or a PGCE qualification in a relevant subject
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
- Have experience teaching science in a UK school environment
- Be capable of planning and delivering engaging science lessons to 11-16 year olds
- Be available to work full-time hours Monday-Friday during term time
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Planning and teaching science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Assessing and monitoring student progress in science
- Keeping up-to-date records on student achievement
- Collaborating with other Science Teachers and staff
