Elementa are recruiting a Science Teacher for this well-performing & popular secondary school based in Swindon. The school have long enjoyed a good reputation both for their standards of pupil behaviour and attainment. The school share a 6th form with their local sister-school and this is an area that is being enhanced as part of the schools' expansion & advancement plans. In March 2023, the school was reaffirmed as Good by Ofsted which they have held for many years. Overall, standards of attainment and behaviour at the school are noted for being good.
This Science Teacher role will involve teaching general science, across all year groups and ability ranges at Key Stages 3 & 4. However, if you have the specialism / experience to deliver A-level Physics, the school would be very interested to consider your application.
This role will suit someone who has ideas to bring to the team and is willing and eager to demonstrate their initiative. You'll have, or have aspirations to, deliver outstanding teaching & learning and enjoy working with students that respond well to the investment the teachers make in them. You'll be rewarded with lots of colleague support & mentoring, good access to CPD and personal development and be recognised as a teacher able to teach to the standards set by this well-respected school.
The school are very open when deciding who to appoint for this post so they are willing to consider someone at the start of their career or with ambition to develop further in a leadership post. Staff morale & satisfaction is very good at this school and this role came about due to a resignation, but equally on good terms. Therefore there is an opportunity to be considered for a permanent post from September 2024; potentially sooner.
