We are seeking a talented and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our secondary school in Harrogate.
This is a full-time position starting on April 9th until the end of June, offering a competitive pay rate ranging from £130 to £211 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and effective physics lessons, instilling a love for the subject and fostering critical thinking skills among students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ QTSL
- Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
- A Level specialising in Physics
- Proven experience teaching physics at the secondary level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic excellence
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality physics lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and departmental objectives
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support academic development through targeted interventions
- Utilise a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and stakeholders to support student learning and well-being
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives to promote continuous improvement
