We are seeking a talented and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our secondary school in Harrogate.

This is a full-time position starting on April 9th until the end of June, offering a competitive pay rate ranging from £130 to £211 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and effective physics lessons, instilling a love for the subject and fostering critical thinking skills among students.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ QTSL

• Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

• A Level specialising in Physics

• Proven experience teaching physics at the secondary level

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds

• Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic excellence

• Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality physics lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and departmental objectives

• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students

• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support academic development through targeted interventions

• Utilise a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning outcomes

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance

• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and stakeholders to support student learning and well-being

• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives to promote continuous improvement
