Role: Science Technician
Location: Leeds
Qualiteach is currently looking for an experienced Science Technician for a mainstream secondary school based within the Leeds area. The role is due to begin asap and will continue on an ongoing basis, 5 days per week until the summer.
Ideally you will have worked as a Science Technician within a school, academy or college previously, but the school are happy to consider applicants with a strong science background with industry experience and recent science graduates with a passion for science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and clearing away the equipment
- Assisting the science teacher with practical science experiments
- Ensuring all aspects of health & safety are adhered to
- Stock control
- Ensuring all equipment is safe and stored safely
- Supporting the science department and head of science as and when required
Key Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
- Able to start immediately and commit on a long-term basis
