JOB TITLE: SCIENCE TECHNICIAN
LOCATION: KINGS LYNN
HOURS: 37 HOURS PER WEEK
SALARY: £22,918-£23,455
This is a varied and challenging role working within our collaborative and supportive science team, being hands on in our labs providing technical support and guidance to our students and working closely with lecturers. The role would suit an individual who enjoys working within a professional laboratory/classroom environment and is enthusiastic about all things science. The college has three modern fully equipped laboratory environments. The laboratory facilities, services a wide curriculum coverage from level 2 (GCSE Sciences), Level 3 (A Levels and Access courses) up to Level 6 for our degree programmes.
The successful candidate would have a level 2 qualification as a minimum in a science related subject as well as experience in a laboratory setting. The successful applicant will be organised and methodical in their approach, cheerful, team focused and well presented. Full training in health and safety and COSHH regulations will be essential along with experience of setting up equipment and co-ordinating practical risk assessments. Competent IT skills and administration skills are required.
