As a Scientific Officer working in the Compliance & Regulations team within the Water Quality Services department the role will involve preparing data for compliance returns for DWI, Processing customer contact data, Providing data for performance reporting and updating information regarding Water Quality on the Company's intranet and internet sites.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016.
- An understanding of the Water Fittings Regulations.
- Interpretation & implementation of new technology to comply with best practice.
- The ability to understand the wide range of customer complaints and enquiries.
- Awareness of sensitivities and regulatory requirements in dealing with external regulators.
- Able to utilise Company IT systems to produce data reports and monitor water quality (e.g., SampleManager, GIS, MAXIMO, HiAffinity DWSP, Compliance portal etc.).
- Ability to drive and navigate.
- The ability to understand and interpret the significance of sample results.
- A working knowledge of water treatment processes and possible effects on water quality.
- A working knowledge of network activities and possible effects on water quality.
- Familiarity or good understanding of Regulation 31 requirements including conditions of use for common materials.
- Ability to report accidents and near misses as well as escalate concerns to Line Management.
- The delivery of a high standard of customer service
- Good time management skills
