We are currently looking to recruit a Screens Operative to join our team working in our busy wood laminate department. You will be responsible for trimming fabric, upholstering screens and associated products, ensuring finished products meet our high quality expectations.
The Role:
- Prepare fabric and components for use in upholstery.
- Competently fix upholstery to screens using a handheld staple gun and other hand tools.
- Maintaining a high level of quality and meeting production efficiency
- Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery.
The Person:
- Upholstery skills (Desirable)
- The ability to produce a good quality product with excellent attention to detail.
- Practical skills, manual dexterity, especially hand skills and co-ordination.
- A positive mind-set with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Manual handling, as some lifting is required.
- Ability to use own initiative and to work quickly to meet production deadlines.
- Measuring and cutting skills would also be beneficial.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4pm / Friday 7am – 12.45pm
