Sea Freight Exports Clerk

Our client is a well-established freight forwarder based in the Warrington area. Providing worldwide freight forwarding solutions for an international client base. They specialise in the handling of all types of consignments providing services by Air, Sea, Road and Rail freight.
We are now recruiting due to expansion for a Sea Freight Exports Coordinator to handle imports mainly from the Far East, South American and Non-E. U origins.
Job Description:
- Book new carriers and consignments onto the system daily
- Export Sea Freight daily transport administration
- Monitor and check arrivals / clearances / deliveries
- Price / source new suppliers for current transport lanes
- Liasing with customer and suppliers on a daily basis
- Price negotiations with suppliers / customers
- Handling sales and purchase creation for each job
In order to apply for this role,
- You will have ocean exports experience gained from a freight forwarder with the ability to prioritise time sensitive workload and demonstrate attention to detail essential.
- Be willing to be trained on other departments - air imports / cross trade
- Strong customer service skills with experience in sea exports / deep sea and EU short sea movements
- Must be Microsoft proficient and have a willingness to learn
