EXPERIENCED IRRIGATOR / TRACTOR DRIVER REQUIRED FOR SEASONAL ROLE APRIL – OCTOBER 2024
Vitacress is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of fresh produce, specialising in Watercress, Salads and Fresh Herbs. Vitacress Salads have a Seasonal Vacancy for an Irrigator/Tractor Driver to join the growing team at our Farm in Pewsey. The Role is seasonal, usually between April and October on a fixed term basis:
The Role reports into the Farm Manager and includes the following:
•To aid with the day-to-day irrigation operations on the farm.
•To undertake any farming operations as are required by the Farm Manager.
•To undertake on-going maintenance of irrigators and machinery used to achieve the above.
•To work in accordance with the Company Health and Safety and operating procedures.
•All other duties as required by the Farm Manager and Farm Foreman.
Essential skills you will need for this role include:
A full clean driving licence.
Experience of tractor driving is essential.
All applicants MUST have a good command of the English Language, as this role include sole working and you will need to be able to converse with the Farm Manager by mobile phone to take instructions.
The farm works on a 40-hour week over 6 days, and there is guaranteed overtime during the season which is paid at time and a quarter.
Accommodation is provided on the farm in a purpose build hostel at a weekly subsidised rate of £55.00. This includes all facilities.
