Job Title: SEASONAL GREENKEEPER

Job Description: Mar Hall Hotel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a seasonal Greenkeeper. This position offers a unique opportunity for someone looking to get into the industry of golf course maintenance to receive hands-on training and guidance from experienced professionals in the field.

Responsibilities:

· Course Maintenance: Undertake regular maintenance tasks to ensure the course or grounds are presented to the highest standard, including mowing, strimming, and edging.

· Bunker Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep of bunkers, ensuring they are free from debris, raked, and properly maintained.

· Irrigation: Assist with irrigation system operation, ensuring proper watering schedules are followed and making adjustments as necessary.

· Plant Health Care: Monitor turf health, identify diseases, pests, and weeds, and apply appropriate treatments under supervision.

· Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of machinery and equipment used in course maintenance, ensuring they are in good working condition.

· Course Set-up: Aid in the set-up and preparation of the course for daily play, including moving tee markers, changing pin positions, and maintaining signage.

· Landscaping: Assist with landscaping projects around the course or grounds, including planting, pruning, and general beautification.

· Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper handling and storage of chemicals and equipment.

· Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in greenkeeping or grounds maintenance preferred but not essential..

· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks requiring bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and occasional overtime as required during peak seasons.
