Seasonal Ground Staff
April – end of September

Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket, is an award-winning world-class stadium and venue. It is recognised as one of the UK’s most prestigious venues for sport, business, leisure and entertainment with a capacity of up to 50,000 people for concerts; 26,000 for international cricket matches; meetings and events spaces for up to 2,000 delegates; a four-star hotel with 250 rooms; and an on-site Caffè Nero.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our grounds team this summer to work at both international and domestic fixtures.

This is a perfect opportunity for an individual to gain some great work experience within an International Sporting Venue.

Key Responsibilities   

  • General Ground Staff duties
  • Preparation of cricket playing and practice areas
  • Cutting pitches
  • Rolling pitches
  • Gardening
  • General laboring
  • Assisting with placing and removing groundsheets and covers
  • Carry out tasks requiring manual handling

Essential Requirements

The dates of work will be as above (inclusive). To be considered for the job role it is compulsory you can work ALL these dates. Please note some shifts will finish between 9.30-10pm.

  • Total commitment to delivering a high level of workmanship.
  • Show initiative and self-motivation.
  • Able to demonstrate being able to work alone and alongside others.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent timekeeping.
  • Able to meet all tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Reliable
  • Flexibility with working times is essential. Availability on both days, nights and weekends.
