YHA Penzance is a 22 room (98 beds) Youth Hostel in a Georgian Manor house on the edge of Penzance close to Polgoon Vineyard. In the summer there is a further 6 Bell Tents, 3 Land Pods, and pitch up camping in the grounds. We serve breakfast and evening meals from our cafe/bar and host families, backpackers, school groups, art trips, and walking clubs amongst others. Work here includes catering, housekeeping and reception with morning, daytime and evening shifts.

Competitive hourly rate: We offer a pay of £10.42 per hour - this will increase to £11.44 from March 2024 in line with National Living Wage. We are looking to recruit staff on 25 hour flexible contracts offering 25 to 42.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract until October 31st. There may also be opportunities for those seeking part time work on less hours.

The Role: Your Key Contributions
As a Hospitality Team Member, you'll play a crucial role in making our guests' experiences memorable. Your efforts will be at the core of our mission to provide exceptional hospitality, regardless of your background or experience.
Your Responsibilities
Providing warm hospitality and great customer service to all our customers, members and guests.
Working on reception and offering insights about the hostel and the local area, ensuring every guest feels informed and welcomed.
Utilising our systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs and food & beverage sales and service.
Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for all guests.
Assisting in the preparation of food in the kitchen and serving food and drinks with genuine warmth, hospitality, and pride that will influence in more sales. Suggesting enjoying dinner with us or offering a beverage or dessert as you assist with table service, ensuring a diverse and welcoming experience for all guests.
