Second Line Support

  • Job Type: Full-time // permanent
  • Location: Cheltenham // fully onsite working
  • Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be providing escalated technical support, ensuring the seamless operation of our IT services. You will tackle complex technical issues, offer hands-on assistance to end-users, and contribute to the efficiency of our IT systems.

Day to Day of the role:

Within this role you will be covering escalated technical issues, troubleshooting, supporting hardware, software and network issues, collaborating with the 1st Line Support team and offering guidance where necessary. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support role or experience within a 1st Line Support role (minimum 2 years) looking for a step up
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and general desktop support.
  • Prior experience with ticketing systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Server 2019/2022 on VMWare and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Fully UK Driving Licence
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework (more desirable but would benefit you within the role)
