Secondary Alternative Provision Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a teacher with experience of teaching students with additional behavioural needs to join the Alternative Provision of a secondary academy in south Manchester.

This is a full-time temporary teaching role to cover a temporary sickness absence.

The Role

Teacher within the school's Alternative Provision for Behaviour and Social Emotional Mental Health needs

Five days a week - 8.45am - 3.05pm

Teaching small groups of students with additional needs including SEMH, ASD, behavioural needs and ADHD.

Working collaboratively with SEN support team and the SENCO

Supporting the senior leader responsible for behaviour.

Teaching a broad curriculum based on key skills and ASDAN strategies.

The school welcome applications from experienced secondary teachers or FE qualified specialist SEN teachers.

To join us and be successful in this Secondary Alternative Provision Teacher role, you will need to:

• Hold QTS Status or QTLS or an equivalent Further education teaching qualification such as PGCE Special Needs or Certificate of Education
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
• Provide a CV with a full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work full time in the UK
