Role Overview: As the Head of Design Technology, you will lead a team of dedicated teachers, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing a vision and strategy for the DT department.
- Inspiring students to love the subject and excel in design/engineering.
- Monitoring and evaluating teaching practices throughout the school.
- Preparing students for scholarships and future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong, positive, and dynamic leadership for the DT faculty.
- Implement a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum.
- Foster a learning experience that allows students to achieve their potential.
- Contribute to raising student attainment.
- Utilize data to inform planning and target setting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Design Technology or related field.
- Experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
- Passion for inspiring students in design and engineering.
