Randstad is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Education Teaching Assistants to join our team and support schools in the Preston area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering the academic development and well-being of secondary school students.
Pay Rate: £80.00 - £100.00

Schools will offer both short-term and long-term positions, assigning roles based on your location, qualifications, experience, and preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with the lead teacher to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Individualised Support: Provide additional assistance and clarification on class materials to students individually or in small groups.
- Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to manage and address student behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing teaching materials to enhance lesson delivery effectiveness.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and stakeholders regarding student progress and concerns.
- Supervision: Ensure student safety and well-being during breaks and non-classroom periods.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with young people.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviours.
- Ability to connect and build rapport with young individuals.
- Creativity, proactiveness, and flexibility in support approach.
- Experience with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties.
- TA qualification.
