We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Music Teacher to join a secondary school on a full-time supply basis. The role is set to commence after the Easter break, covering Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Music. This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators to further their careers in a supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to students of all ability ranges.
- Foster a love for music and encourage high aspirations among students.
- Develop students’ composition, listening, and group work skills.
- Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that caters to a diverse student body.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
- Engage with the school community and participate in extracurricular activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Possess a PGCE certificate or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through REED.
- Previous experience teaching music in a secondary mainstream environment is desirable, but the role is also suitable for newly qualified teachers with QTS.
- Demonstrable passion for music and education.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
