We are recruiting for aPMLD Teaching Assistantat a secondary special needs schools across South East London for young people aged 11-19 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD, and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.
Starting in ASAP on a full time & long term, temp to perm basis.
- PMLD Teaching Assistant at a special needs
- Starting in ASAP on a full time basis.
- Monday to Friday 9am - 3:30pm.
- Pay up £90 - £100 per day
- You will need to support young people with care as well as education.
- You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
- Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to provide holistic support to your young people.
- Some pupils require Personal Care including toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
- Some require Moving & Handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.
- Most pupils are working on the Engagement Model of learning which focuses on 5 main areas: Exploration, Realisation, Anticipation, Persistence & Initiation.
- This is a special needs school in south Manchester for young people aged 11-19 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.

To join us and be successful in this PMLD Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 professional references.
- Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Some experience supporting children or young adults with special needs.
