Secondary School Attendance OfficerBased in Smethwick, Sandwell£13-£14phYour new company A Secondary School based in North Birmingham is looking to appoint an Attendance Officer to support the school. The role is to support the school long term, there will be permanent opportunities for the right candidate. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8am - 4pm. Looking for immediate start.Your new role The role will be to oversee the day-to-day attendance registration for all pupils and young people and to provide SIMS management, information and reports. The role will entail overseeing the day-to-day attendance registration for the whole school, Investigate absences on a daily basis and issue marks on a weekly basis to ensure absences are correctly coded and to monitor absence figures and liaise with SLT and DSLs as appropriate. You will also produce attendance reports and management data for senior leadership. You will also support the office with general admin duties.What you'll need to succeed You will need to have a high level of communication and IT skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this.
