Reed Education is seeking dynamic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our team and work across a variety of schools in the picturesque region of West Sussex. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of education and providing essential support to schools in the absence of regular teaching staff.
Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: West Sussex
Contract: Temporary/Flexible
Responsibilities:
- Step in as a temporary classroom leader in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring that pre-set work is delivered effectively to students.
- Engage and manage students in the learning process, fostering a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, maintaining discipline and ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver high-quality and engaging lessons across various subjects and year groups.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teaching staff as required.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young adults is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with students effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work across different schools and year groups.
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to education, inspiring students to achieve their best.
- An enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
- Being a driver is a benefit
