What Does a Cover Supervisor / Instructor Do?

As a Cover Supervisor / Instructor, you play a pivotal role in maintaining classroom continuity during short-term teacher absences. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing classroom dynamics to ensure students stay focused on assigned tasks.
• Implementing school policies and procedures effectively.
• Responding to student queries and managing behaviour to foster a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students across various subjects and providing general academic guidance.

Requirements:

• Recent experience within an educational setting.
• Minimum of Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt quickly.
• Strong behaviour management skills to effectively handle diverse classroom scenarios.

• Comprehensive CV covering your employment history for the past 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
• Compliance with Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), in accordance with safeguarding policies.
• Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to attend a face-to-face registration interview.
