Do you have previous experience working with children/adults with complex needs, SLD, Autism, SEMH? Would you like to work 6.5 hours a day and earn £85-95 a day? Vision for education work with a SEN School in LS10 who are looking for an immediate start SEMH/ Behavioural support assistant. The suitable candidate would be working in a class with 7 boys 11-16 and have previous experience of the following:
- Staff need to be resilient, able to manage difficult situations, and remain calm and consistent for all pupils at all times and be incredibly patient.
- Staff must be able to give students lots of processing time.
- Staff need to be able to follow direction from the teacher and act on their own initiative.
- Staff need to be able to adapt changing situations, whilst ensuring all pupils are safe and their needs are continuously met.
- Staff need to be able to model socially appropriate behaviours and support the implementation of speech and language and occupational therapy plans.
