Join our dynamic team as a Secondary School SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) in Sheffield and make a meaningful impact starting immediately.

As a SENCO, you will:

Lead and oversee the provision of support for students with Special Educational Needs and disabilities (SEND).

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

Provide guidance and training to staff members to ensure inclusive teaching practices and effective differentiation in the classroom.

Monitor the progress of students with SEND, implementing interventions and adjustments as necessary to maximize their learning outcomes.

Act as a point of contact for parents, offering support, guidance, and fostering positive partnerships to promote the best interests of the students.

What we're looking for:

Qualified teacher status and relevant SENCO qualification (National Award for SEN Co-ordination or equivalent).

Demonstrated experience working with students with SEND in a school setting.

Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Passion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting inclusive education for all students.
