Secondary Teacher

• Salary: GBP28,000 to GBP30,000
• Job Type: Full Time, Perm (40 hours)
• Start Date: February 2024 or ASAP

My client, a warm and friendly independent school with outstanding specialist support for children and young people situated in Pilling, Lancashire is seeking a calm and confident Teacher to join their team. You will be teaching individuals and small groups inside and outside of the classroom, preparing lessons and resources, and assessing children who have complex learning difficulties, and working with colleagues to identify individual pupils specialist needs.

Specific duties:

• Assist in maintaining a positive culture encouraging the development of curriculum.
• Prepare and deliver lessons to meet the needs of our pupils.
• Produce and develop high quality teaching and learning materials using a variety of methods

You will have:

• An appropriate Teaching qualification or be working towards
• At least a Level 5 CPD Numeracy / Literacy or Degree level qualification
• Successful teaching experience in this curriculum area, ideally in a variety of settings (Independent schools, PRU s, colleges)
• Ability to identify and support learners with differing needs
• Ability to manage diverse groups of learners in varying environments
• Ability to encourage learners and promote the importance of education
