Secondary - Teaching

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a number of Secondary Teachers for Long Term roles across Hampshire. These roles are to cover long term absence ranging between 6 weeks, or up to the end of the academic year. These roles may include Preparation, Planning and Assessment but some are general subject cover.

At Reed Education Southampton, we run the Hampshire Supply Service through our branch, meaning we have a contract of over 500 schools across the whole of Hampshire. We currently have a large number of schools looking for long term cover, and also offer day to day bookings to cover short term absence. As a supply teacher, PPA is not part of your bookings and solely consists of attending the school and teaching the class based on what the teacher has left in their absence. However, with some long-term cover, PPA may be expected dependant on the length of absence.

As a cover teacher, you will be prepared to uphold the teaching and learning of the pupils within your assigned class, ensuring that the pupils are safe and engaged. You will be required to teach pupils with enthusiasm and passion, ensuring to adapt to pupil's dependant on their attainment.

Salaries for these roles differ slightly depending on the role itself. For example:
Day to day Supply Teaching - £130-180 per day per day
Long Term Teacher without Class Teacher responsibility - £130-190 per day
Long Term Teacher with Class Teacher responsibility- £150-240 per day

For this role, you will need Qualified Teacher Status in the UK (or equivalent), good availability, and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (DBS can be obtained through Reed). Subject specialism is required.
