Job Title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Estover Area, Secondary School

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant at a well-established secondary school in the Estover area.
Job Overview: As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), teachers, and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs. Your role will involve offering individualized support, implementing strategies outlined in students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement effective support strategies for students with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Assist in the implementation of behavior management plans and sensory strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of students with SEN.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, especially in a SEN setting, is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
Salary: The salary for this role is between £80 - £90 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
