Secondary Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Bristol, starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity to support students' learning and development across various subjects, with a specialism in particular subjects being a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Support students individually and in small groups to enhance their learning experience.
• Help to prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise students during breaks and extracurricular activities as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to support students' academic and personal development.

Requirements:

• Experience working in an educational setting, preferably at the secondary level.
• A specialism in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Humanities, or Languages is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• A current DBS check or willingness to obtain one prior to starting.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or subject specialism are advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
