The Company
The role
You will manage, organise and control all activities within your section of the factory. You will have hygiene experience and will assign and organise staff alongside managing productivity and performance ensuring the achievement of the required service levels and performance results.
Start of the shift
‘Walk the floor’ of the production area to manage start up procedures
Receive verbal handover from previous shift
Ensure there is no excess or shortage of labour in the production area
Complete any Return to Work Interviews
Print DWOR results for preceding shift and update KPI boards
During the shift
Attend daily review meeting with peer group
Constructively challenge performance of area – quality, throughput rate and crew size
Liaise with other production areas and support functions to pro-actively manage any upcoming production and material supply issues
Attend daily taste panel as required and follow through any actions
Effectively audit daily technical paperwork
Assist First Line Coordinator in DWOR completion if necessary
End of shift
Ensure labour data is entered into the DWOR correctly
Validate DWOR information
Document handover for oncoming shift
Ensure that production area is left in a clean and safe condition
Weekly & Monthly
Review Productivity and NME Losses Graph to identify opportunities for improvement
Identify performance management / training requirements within the area and manage the process / delivery
