The Opportunity:

 

Our team in the UK is growing - we are looking for people with programming skills who are used to working in an Agile environment. We can consider people of varying levels, but most likely you would be considered to be a Middle or Senior software engineer to have the skill and experience we will require. You will be working on long-term engagements helping our clients solve interesting problems.

 

This role will be primarily based out of our Cheltenham office, with a small amount of travel to a customer site for team collaboration and face to face meetings. There is the possibility of Hybrid working in some cases, project and role dependant.

The Challenge

 

As a security- focused developer on long-term engagements, you will be expected to work with our clients as part of a hybrid team to help them solve complex software engineering challenges.

 

This includes:

 

  • Using software engineering skills to solve complex and interesting problems

     

  • Integrating new features into an existing codebase.

     

  • Porting existing code to work with new systems and architectures and the challenges that may come with that.

     

  • Develop robust software using unit testing and automated testing,

     

 

 

Skills

 

Some of the key skills we look for are:

 

  • C development experience

     

  • C code review

     

  • Python development experience

     

  • Use of pytest and pyunit (or similar testing frameworks)

     

  • Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline tools

     

  • Knowledge of git and working on multi-branch projects

     

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology

     

  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system and standard networking protocols
