Security Engineer

I am currently working in collaboration with my client to find one or possibly two Security Engineers. My client is a long-established Merseyside based company who provide a range of manned security, electronic security and facilities management services. They are holders of SIA approved contractor status for manned security and are SSAIB certified.

The role will involve the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry and Emergency Lighting. They typically use the following manufacturers equipment - Intruder Alarms (Texecom and Honeywell Galaxy), Fire Alarms (C-Tec, Advanced and Apollo), CCTV (Dahua and Hikvision) and Access Control (Paxton). Their sites are predominantly commercial with some domestic and the majority of them are within a 20-mile radius of Liverpool. The structure of the team currently consists of an Engineering Manager and two Engineers. The standard working hours are Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00. There is no call out rota, out of hours emergencies are covered by the company’s own alarm response team.

Candidates for this role should reside within a 20-mile radius of Liverpool, will have a strong all-round installation, commissioning, repair and servicing skills, ideally the person be strong on networking and fire, plus RAMS will be essential for any large install.

The salary offered will dependent on the level of knowledge and seniority, 20 days plus Statutory Bank Holidays, enrolment onto their NEST pension scheme.

Tools of the trade provided include a van, laptop, mobile, fuel card, drills, testing equipment (e.g. Multimeter) and ladders.
