About the Role
As a Security Engineer, you will analyze risks and help operate the enterprise security program. You will serve as a contributor to security assessments including controls assessments, vulnerability assessments, and compliance assessments. You will liaise between the business users and the technical resources to ensure all needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Identifying emerging threats, threat surveillance, and potential solutions
- Communicating with peers throughout the organization and security contacts regarding security controls and newly identified risks
- Taking appropriate actions to safeguard company information assets against current and foreseen threats
- Implementing security programs and executing project deliverables
- Maintaining program procedures including guidelines and flow diagrams to be implemented on an ongoing basis
- Installing and/or troubleshooting programs within web environments
Requirements
- Have a BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Display excellent IT security experience
- Have at least CISSP, CISM, SANS, ethical hacking/penetration tester, security risk assessment, or a related certificate
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of vulnerability assessment, threat analysis, and reporting
- Be able to understand and promote security policies, and be experienced in implementing security programs
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Be able to monitor security systems for threats
- Display good knowledge of security environments
