Security Guard

Right Now Group are delighted to be working with a large freight forwarder, who are looking for a Security Guard to join their team due to expansion of a contract.

Job Responsibilities of a Security Guard:

• Monitor and control access points to the warehouse, ensuring that only authorised personnel enter the premises.
• Verify identification of employees, visitors, and contractors, and issue appropriate identification badges or passes.
• Conduct regular checks of access control systems to ensure they are functioning
• Maintain a constant presence throughout the warehouse, reception, conducting patrols to deter potential security threats.
• Monitor security cameras and other surveillance systems to detect any suspicious activities or
• Respond promptly to alarms or alerts, investigating any potential security incidents or
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent theft or loss.
• Verify that all incoming and outgoing shipments align with the documented records, conducting spot checks when necessary.
• Regularly inspect the warehouse's perimeter, checking fences, gates, and other entry points for any signs of tampering or vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the facility management to ensure the implementation and maintenance of effective perimeter security measures such as CCTV cameras, motion sensors, and
• Act as a first responder during emergencies, promptly notifying the relevant emergency services and guiding employees or visitors to safety.

You will be required to work a mixture of shifts:

Early: 05:00 - 13:30
Middle: 08:30 - 17:00
Lates: 11:30 - 20:00

Salary: Up to £28,000
