Self-employed contractor drivers

Owner Driver Contractor Multiple routes available! - 3.5T van and above at our Newbridge depot (just outside Edinburgh) 

PLEASE NOTE

If you do not currently own or have access to a 3.5-tonne vehicle (Transit or similar) you must be in a financial position to be able to lease or purchase one. You will also need to have all insurances (Goods in Transit, Public Liability & Hire and Reward) in place prior to starting.

Are you a self-motivated contractor that has access to a well maintained and service fleet of 3.5T vans or a current self-employed contractor looking to expand your portfolio?

Can you demonstrate sound management of your drivers and those employed by you?

Do you understand compliance and importance of following process in a distribution network?

Do you understand customer importance of the commercial relationship with customers and the importance of delivering customers stock/product on time every time?

Would you like fixed routes, 7 days a week, 364 days a year, paying each route circa £1300+per week, depending on mileage and area of operation and with potential growth?

Can you and your team commit to a 7 day coverage between 0200hrs to 1200hrs midday?

Owner Driver Duties:

• Pack and load customers Newstrade products on time and with compliance
• Pack and load customers Ecommerce Fast Moving Consumer Goods on time and with compliance
• Deliver customers products/stock safely, efficiently and on time and with compliance
• Ensure security of vehicle and goods contained during transit to customer
• Collect customers Newstrade products with compliance
• Complete all distribution documentation as per company procedure
• Comply with site Health and Safety policy maintain clean safe warehouse environment
• Adhere to company procedures and policies

Owner Driver Requirements:

1. Full UK Driving Licence (No more than 6 points) – Held licence for at least 2 years
2. Over 21 years of age
3. No previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR
4. Good local knowledge of commercial addresses & streets – all though training will be provided
5. Physically fit to meet demands of multi-drop
6. Hardworking, positive attitude and flexible attitude to work
