Responsibilities:
**IMPORTANT**
All applicants must be existing Private Hire Drivers!
· All drivers & passenger assistants to receive fair rates of pay. These are:
- Drivers paid £400 per week to do 1 school drop off and collect per day.
- Drivers paid £200 per week for 1 return trip for an adult social care appointment and returning the passenger to their home per day.
- Passenger assistants (when required) paid £150 per week for a school drop off and collect.
Manage driver standards:
· Ensure that 90% of trips are with the same driver team, consisting of a driver and passenger assistant (where required).
· Ensure each driver achieves at least an 80% safe driver rating on the
transport app over time.
· Ensure a minimum of 95% of contracted appointments are completed on time.
· All passenger assistance must be in place within the car before any passengers are collected.
· Introductions between passengers, carers, and drivers must occur prior to the contract starting, where stipulated by parents via the local authority.
· All contract drivers must have met requirements for branded magnetic plates, sweaters or T-shirts, and lanyards where required.
· Drivers and/or passenger assistants to communicate any issues preventing the completion of the journey by 7:00 AM for school runs and 2:00 PM for school collections.
· Any issues with social care appointments to be communicated by drivers no later than 1 hour before scheduled pick up.
· Inform all parents, carers and schools as soon as information provided by drivers.
· Offer a solution promptly in any situation where a driver is unable to collect their passenger as agreed, even if it results in the passenger arriving late.
· Manage complaints and incidents on the same day they occur, whether from passengers, carers, teachers, or driving teams.
· Email the details of complaints by the end of the following business day to the contract owner.
· Report incidents caused by passengers resulting in damage or accidents that require valeting the car - within two hours of the incident to the business owner.
Our Responsibilities:
· Provide training in all aspects of the role including how to operate the transport app.
· Provide support on an ongoing basis where a contract is not operating as expected say, the driver and passenger assistant cannot manage the child’s behaviours.
· Provide access to online training for drivers and passenger assistants on safeguarding, SEND guidance etc.
· Settle weekly payments with driving teams once a reconciliation has been completed. This will take place on the first working day of the following week.
· Arrange payment of any damage (or cleaning) to vehicles following production of reasonable invoices.
· Provide reasonable notice of new jobs having been bid for (same day)
Qualifications Required:
- Valid Private Hire Driver's license
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
