SEN Advisory Teacher | SEMH | Outreach | Redbridge | Immediate Start

We are looking to appoint a SEMH Advisory Teacher to join a thriving outreach service in the London Borough of Redbridge. This is an exciting role for an SEN Teacher with experience of working with children or young people with SEMH.

Advisory Teachers have a case load across the London Borough of Redbridge and should be able to offer advice to SENCO’s, Head Teachers and multi-disciplinary teams to address concerns. This role will be an initial temporary role through till July.

What is the Support Service looking for?

· A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS

  • Strong experience working with children or young people with SEMH ideally with a special school, PRU or alternative provision setting
  • An exemplary understanding of safeguarding (contextual and family)
  • Great organisational and communication skills
  • Ideally previous outreach experience but not essential
  • Ideally holding a driving licence

The successful SEN Teacher will be joining a dynamic team, which provides an advice and support service to mainstream schools and settings around Redbridge. You will also provide support, training and activities for families.

You will need to have an expert understanding of working with pupils with SEMH within a school environment and have a passion for communicating your knowledge to colleagues.
