SEN Teaching Assistant - September 2024 Start
Contract Type: Long-term, full-time (Monday to Friday, 8.30 AM - 3.30 PM)
Pay: £85 - £130
Role Summary: We are seeking enthusiastic teaching assistants to work with SEN children in mainstream primary schools in the Middleton and surrounding area. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support young pupils with diverse needs, including ASD and SEMH. The school emphasizes personalized inclusion, offering tailored learning journeys to promote independence and character growth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and communicate effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in managing complex and sensitive issues with empathy.
- Evaluate learning needs and actively seek new teaching methods.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of the national Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Curriculums.
- Adaptability and willingness to handle changing circumstances.
- Supportive member of the SEND team.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).
