LTF Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced mentor to Teaching Assistant in the Wollaton area, who is passionate about working with children with SEMH needs. You will need to want to make a real difference in the lives of the children you work with. As a Specialist TA you will work with a small group of KS1 pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, leading interventions to support them overcome behavioural and learning barriers, and to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with groups of children or in 1:1 setting to keep the children engaged during lessons.
• Supporting pupils socially, emotionally, and academically.
• Working alongside the staff at the school to help create and deliver excellent teaching programs.
• Communicating with the parents to ensure that what is being put into practice at school is also being followed at home.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
• Strong experience of behavioural management is
• TeamTeach, Mappa, or equivalent training is desirable.
• A strong role model for children to look up to.
• The ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
