SEMH TA (Teaching Assistant) Primary

Location: Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire

Salary: £75 to £100 per day

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged students in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire. This role focuses on students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

Job Summary:

• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement strategies that promote student well-being.
• Assist in creating a supportive and understanding classroom environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement behavioral plans under the guidance of the SENCO and classroom teachers.
• Monitor and report on the progress of students.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to students throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
