Role Overview:
The school are seeking a dedicated and trained Teaching Assistant to join our team in Kings Heath. The successful candidate will be assigned to work with a Year 1 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The role involves providing support to facilitate the student's academic progress and social integration.
The school is ideally seeking a TEAM TEACH trained candidate - But we as an agency may also provide this training free of charge for the right person!
Key Responsibilities:
* Utilise Team Teach training to effectively manage challenging behaviour.
* Support the individual learning needs of the assigned pupil.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment.
* Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Log any incidents that may occur
* Reward positive behaviour
Qualifications and Experience:
* Team Teach certification is desirable.
* Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs.
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Personal Attributes:
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
