As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students on a one-to-one basis. You will work closely with very vulnerable pupils, including those who suffer from PTSD, Anxiety, EBD, and SEMH. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Developing and implementing individualised support plans to address the specific needs of each student.
- Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviour.
- Offering emotional support and guidance to students as they navigate their academic and personal challenges.
