Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants Needed in Hounslow

Empowering Learning is currently seeking experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants for full-time positions in a SEMH Primary school located in Hounslow. We are looking for dedicated professionals with a genuine passion for supporting young learners with social and emotional mental health needs.

A specialised SEMH primary school, located in the heart of Hounslow, they are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for children with unique needs. The school recognises that many students face challenges that extend beyond SEMH, including conditions such as autistic spectrum disorder, speech, language, and communication needs, as well as ADHD. The school is committed to full inclusion, ensuring that all children are integrated into the life and curriculum of our school.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide support to children aged 5-11 years old, many of whom have special needs such as ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex needs.
- Utilize your experience in the classroom to assist with the implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills to ensure a safe and nurturing educational setting.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a classroom setting is essential.
- Passion for working with young learners with social and emotional mental health needs.
- Desirable experience in youth work, youth support work, or working with young offenders.
- Ability to work with children aged 5-11 and adapt to their diverse needs.
- Strong understanding of special needs, including ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex needs.
- Exceptional behavior management skills.

- This is a full-time position, and the working hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
