Job description

Pertemps Education are looking to appoint three SEN support workers or teaching assistants to start either ASAP or Febuary 2024 at one of our Outstanding Independant SEN Schools based near East Harling, Norfolk.
The school is accessirable & dynamic, with an focus on special education for those of Primary or Secondary ages with an EHCP tending to encompass Autism, Behaviour, Trauma, Dyslexia, Global Delay, and ADHD.
The school develops its students as individuals with the use of outdoor learning, forrset schooling, and therapuetic intervention. Pupils are given the freedom that the grounds of the school provide, and are supported by at least one supporting member of staff.
Your responsability would be to work proactively with a range of pupils, listen to instruction of the class teacher, and convert this instruction into a successful academic campaign for many of these young learners. Most importantly of all, this is an opportunity to provide a true sense of value for young boys & girls who need to be mentored, nurtured, and understood.
Our ideal candidate would:
-Own a DBS Certificate
-Have prior experience at dealing with behaviourally challenged children
-Confident & resilient personality
-Empathetic & interested in the development of young learners with complex needs
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Social Worker, Nanny, or Educator
-Be available to visit the school at the time of your choice over the next week for a relaxed tour and conversation.
- Be available to start either on a full time, or part time basis.
- Have experience in support within KS1,KS2, KS3 or KS4
This role will begin as an agency assingment designed to last the entirety of the academic year. The school will look to appoint permanent staff within this period, you will be first for consideration should you start with Pertemps Education and complete an application. For reference, the success rate of agency staff moving to salary is 100% over the last 3 academic years. The school is very open to those that do not want to commit permanently and would prefer to continue working under agency - this would be a long term post and would last for as long as you like should you decide to stay with agency.
This role will commmence ASAP full time (although there may only be a few short weeks of work available prior to the holiday), or Feb 2024 fresh. We would look towards candidates that are likely also looking for something Permanent in the future and meet minimum grades of GCSE grade C in Mathematics & English. It is important to note that if you do want a Permanent outlook, you must own Grade C.
If you want to know more about this position, and can commit to a 8:30am start and 4pm finish, then we want to hear from you and organize a school visit as soon as possible. Thank you!
Please await contact from Branden at Pertemps.
