Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Teacher to join this special school in Enfield as an English Teacher. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September 2024.
The School:
The school supports children from Enfield primary schools with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) who have been permanently excluded, allocated a place through SEN consultation or via the Securing Education Board on a short-term placement. A high number of pupils here also have an additional diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD. Class sizes are therefore smaller with up to six pupils per class and there is a high staff-to-pupil ratio so that children are given the correct support when needed across the school day.
As an SEN English teacher you will be responsible for the below:
- Planning and delivering English lessons (entry level to GCSE level)
- Assessing work and monitoring progress
- Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions
- Support behaviour by following the children's plans
- Updating and setting targets for children
- Working alongside other professionals in the support network
To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :
- QTS
- Experience of teaching English up to GCSE level
- An understanding of SEMH
- Strong class management skills
- An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
