Principal Resourcing have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and creative Teaching Assistant to join the staff team at one of our partnership Primary Schools based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
The part-time role is available with immediate start and will provide ongoing support for pupils with a range of SEN and behavioural needs across the primary curriculum. You be confident instilling effective behaviour management and working collaboratively with the existing staff team to adapt learning input to meet the individual needs of SEN pupils within your care.
The Primary Schools offers an ambitious, creative and open-minded environment for learning in which pupils feel supported to effectively progress across a broad range of subjects. You will join expected to provide suitable pastoral care and support to pupils within the mainstream classroom and through small group intervention outside the classroom as guided by the Teacher.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role, salary is negotiable dependent on experience.
Job Role & Duties:
- Under the specific supervision of the class teacher, to work with individuals and groups of pupils to deliver learning programmes.
- To encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
- To assist with the general pastoral care of the pupils, including helping pupils who are unwell, distressed or unsettled.
- To assist the pupils with personal needs as appropriate.
- To prepare and maintain basic classroom resources and equipment as directed by the class teacher and assist pupils in their use.
- To prepare the classroom as directed for lessons, ensuring that resources are available and cleared away at the end of the lesson as appropriate.
- To provide regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement and progress.
- To provide feedback on pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
- This may include feedback on pupil progress in meeting individual Education Plan Targets.
